10 Patterns To Make With Our Chicken Sets

Every year we release eight new Backyard Chickens Sock Sets! As much as we love seeing people make socks with our sock sets, we know that sometimes it's fun to switch things up so we've compiled a list of 10 patterns that you can easily make with just one of our chicken sets! We've included two sock patterns, but we also have some sweet hats, shawls, and cowls for you to explore!

Can you believe how beautiful our Catalana Hen Set (retired) looks here in Spring Thing by Espace Tricot?! This asymmetrical shawl showcases the gentle color shifts and brings out the vibrant peachy speckles that make this hen so fresh and springy. The garter stitch creates an excellent cozy texture that you'll love wearing whenever it gets chilly enough!

It's pure magic with the Zoolandia pattern by Stephen West and the Deathlayer Rooster (retired)! This yarn and pattern are a match made in heaven! The linen stitch works beautifully with the subtle pours and speckles in the skein, creating unique patterns within the knitted fabric. While the pattern is written for one color, we decided to incorporate the coordinating minis as a border, but they could easily be incorporated anywhere in this knit.

We love these sock sets for so many reasons, but we especially love how versatile they are! With a full skein and two coordinating semisolid minis, you have endless possibilities to customize your projects. You can experiment with color blocking, stripes, or add contrasting trims to make your creations truly unique. You can even marl two sets together like we did with our Mara Shawl! These two roosters came together seamlessly, making a beautiful blended fabric and a shawl we never want to take off.

We can't wait to bring you a brand-new flock-inspired collection every year and we're so grateful for your continued support and kind words about our chickens. Cluck it up, y'all!
